Context
The ASVV Chair helps the viticulture and wine sector to better understand, analyse and anticipate the wide range of expectations expressed today: those of consumers, citizens, and economic and institutional stakeholders.
Drawing on interdisciplinary research (economics, sociology, oenology, agronomy, etc.), it provides the sector with objective data and analyses to inform its strategic decisions: how to balance competitiveness, the green transition and social responsibility, whilst promoting a unique cultural heritage.
At the heart of the project: open science and ongoing dialogue between researchers, businesses and civil society, through accessible seminars, forums and publications.
This innovative approach enables the wine sector to better identify tensions, reconcile sometimes conflicting demands and adapt its practices to market developments and climate challenges. In this way, the ASVV Chair contributes directly to strengthening the legitimacy and sustainability of the wine sector by linking it to major contemporary societal transformations.
