Resistant grape varieties:
what are the conditions for deployment in New Aquitaine?

Tuesday 7 November 2017, 2pm-4pm
ISVV, Amphitheatre

Researchers and professionals are engaged in a process of deploying grape varieties resistant to vine diseases: mildew and powdery mildew. In the future, these varieties will be one of the major levers for reducing the use of pesticides.
But their deployment raises a number of key questions: how sustainable will these resistant varieties be? What new growing systems are needed? And for what quality?
We invite you to take a closer look at this topic and discuss it with researchers and industry professionals, to identify the challenges, obstacles and ways forward for the deployment of resistant grape varieties in New Aquitaine.

Speeches followed by a round table discussion moderated by Philippe Darriet, Director of the ISVV oenology unit:

  • Jérémy Ducourt, Winegrower, Vignobles Ducourt
  • Bernard Farges, Winegrower and President of the CNAOC
  • Patrice Gentié, Nurseryman and Deputy Secretary of the French Federation of Wine Nurseries
  • Frank Manty, Research Engineer, University of Geisenheim
  • Bernard Pineau, Head of viticulture Martell Mumm Perrier Jouet
