Agroforestry: a model for the development of agroecology
in vineyards?

This fourth "Wines and Consumers" seminar, organised by the ISVV in partnership with INNO'VIN, will take place :

Wednesday 19 February, 2pm to 4pm
INRAE Bordeaux, Amphi Colette and Josy Bové

At a time when questions are being raised about the environmental impact of the wine industry and initiatives are proliferating to promote the agro-ecological transition, professionals, technicians and scientists are actively seeking agro-ecological prototypes for vineyards.

Against the current backdrop of collapsing biodiversity and climate disruption, integrating trees into wine production systems would appear to offer a number of benefits for farmers and society as a whole, including carbon storage, biodiversity preservation and ecosystem services.
However, what do we really know about the effects of this practice on the environmental and agronomic performance of farms? What are the economic impacts? What negative effects can be anticipated?

The aim of this meeting is to review the state of scientific knowledge currently available and to discuss the expectations, limitations and gaps in knowledge with various players in the sector.
